City Council Approves FY20 Paving Projects

Annually, the City paving budget has been fairly steady at approximately $600,000, with a planned $25,000 increase for this summer. Due to the nature of the roads after the winter season, the City Council has approved reallocating funds to provide $900,000 to be spent on paving projects this summer and fall.

Paving Contract Approved
At last night's regular City Council meeting, the contract for this year was approved. Within the scope of work to be completed under the contract, there are identified streets with various levels of paving to be performed.

What about potholes on streets not listed?
The Public Works crews works on another identified list of potholes and areas of deterioration that are smaller in scale. One example of this is the work that was done on the north end of Dorset Street last summer, where ruts were ground out and new asphalt laid. It is planned that the next 2 blocks of Dorset Street will have a similar treatment this summer.

Have an area of concern, not on the list? Let us know.
