The adage that other people’s trash, is someone else’s treasure is so true. This December the Senior Center kicked off its First Annual Free Day Event. What is a Free Day event you ask, well seniors brought in their gently used items that they no longer wanted and other people took they home for free.
Seniors dropped off their donated free items on Friday afternoon, and Saturday we opened the doors from 1130am to 2pm for people to shop for free. There were tables of household items, books, holiday decorations and kitchenware. The event brought in over 50 visitors to the Senior Center and assisted seniors with cleaning out some of their closets. After the event, the left-over items were donated to Goodwill.
