Memorial Day Ceremony with SBRP

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. South Burlington Recreation continued our annual Memorial Day Ceremony where we took time to gather at Veterans Memorial Park to reflect and remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. The South Burlington High School Chorus was in attendance to sing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful. Along with them, we had guest speakers who included Senior Master Sargent Darren Adams, Veteran Dick Boera, and Father Justin Baker. Veteran Matt Van Wagner was there to sound off TAPS during this powerful ceremony. Members from the DAR were in attendance to display their wreath once again in honor of their fallen heroes. We thank everyone who came out to this event and took the time to recognize those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
