We are proud to share that Officers Amstein, Blauvelt, and Moore graduated from the Vermont Police Academy last Friday. This critical mass of officers will soon embark on their FTO journey – the final leg of the process to become South Burlington Police Officers.
During the graduation ceremony Officer Moore earned the prestigious Eugene Gaiotti Award - an award fellow recruits nominate the recipient for based on their demonstrated honesty, loyalty, motivation, and teamwork. Lt. Bataille earned the Instructor Award for the second time, another award where the recipient is selected by the recruits. Lt. Bataille was recognized for his work as the lead Criminal Law instructor which is a both a critical and grueling course of study for the recruits.
Our success in recruiting has made all of this possible, a special thanks is owed to Lt. Jager and everyone involved in the hiring and training process. Please join me in congratulating everyone mentioned here on their achievements!
