Carrying the Flame of Hope for Special Olympics Vermont

Over the course of three days, law enforcement officers participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, carrying the “Flame of Hope” across the state to Special Olympics Vermont’s Fall Games, which was held on the weekend of September 15th. Officers from the South Burlington Police Department and South Burlington Fire Department, alongside friends, family, and Special Olympics Athletes, ran the “Flame of Hope” on Williston Road from the police department to the Windjammer. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics raises money and awareness for Special Olympics Athletes of Vermont. At Fall Games, Ofc. Caleb Moore and Cpl. Brianne Williamson presented athletes with their medals as they competed in Athletics (track & field), Soccer and Softball.
