Update: Repairs on Hinesburg Road

Last night, a wastewater pipe failed under Hinesburg Road. South Burlington Public Works is on-site making repairs, which is expected to continue through the Tuesday evening commute.

Hinesburg Road will remain closed at Sunset Avenue until the pipe is repaired and the road is put back together. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route.

The recommended detour for those heading south on Hinesburg Road is to take Williston Road (Route 2) east and turn right onto Kennedy Drive. Vehicles can then turn left onto Hinesburg Road and continue south.

The recommended detour for those heading north on Hinesburg Road is to turn right onto Kennedy Drive and then left onto Williston Road.
