Late last night, Champlain Water District (CWD) responded to a significant break on one of our large transmission mains that resulted in reduced water flow and pressure for several South Burlington residents. The damaged section of the system has been isolated for the repair and as a result, the South Burlington system has been stabilized with flows and pressures back to normal. If residents or businesses experience cloudy or discolored water as a result of this water main break and repair, we recommend that you run your cold water taps until the water runs clear.
