Hinesburg Road Sewer Pipe Repaired
On the evening of Monday, December 18, a gravity sewer pipe under Hinesburg Road (originally installed in 1964) failed. South Burlington DPW staff worked around the clock to address the issue and get this critical pipe back in service. Traffic had to be diverted around the section of Hinesburg Road where the break occurred so that the crew could safely make repairs. By late Tuesday night, a temporary fix was completed, and wastewater is once again flowing from the Hinesburg Road Pump Station to the Airport Parkway Wastewater Treatment Facility.
