Swing by 180 Market Street from now through mid-March for a pop of color and feeling by the artist Pievy Polyte. His paintings celebrate warmth and community, with this show featuring his homeland, Haiti. Polyte has lived in Burlington, Vermont since 2016, when Hurricane Matthew devastated Polyte’s coffee farm. His activities in Vermont support rebuilding the Haitian coffee cooperative and the public schools it funded. Polyte trained at the Ecole National des Arts (ENARTS), in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
